Bulgaria’s star Stoeva sisters, Gabriela and Stefani have repeated the feat they achieved in 2015, and won the Italian International.

The number one seeds had to face off against the number two seeds, Alina Davletova and Ekaterina Bolotova of Russia. A pair they defeated earlier this year at the Dutch Open on route to winning that title. Commenting on their 21-11, 21-14 win, Gabriela said.

-We tried to fight for each point. We know them quite well as we played them once in a tournament and we watched them this week, and they fight a lot, so we needed to be at one hundred per cent. We spoke to our coach and we made some tactics which helped us in the final.

Stefani on the one thing that they will take from their week in Milan said.

-It is the positive game that we showed on the court. We are pleased with our results, and now it’s time to take a little break and continue the hard work.

We need to fight for our title
The 2018 European Champions have a big year ahead and Gabriela explains what’s next for them.

-For now, we take a mental break to be ready for the new season. Our main goal will be the European Championship, which will be in April. We need to fight for our title there. We will try our best and hopefully, we will get it again. Then our main goal will be to focus on the Olympics.
