Listen to the new episode just out. BEC Podcast meets Bo Jensen

Bo Jensen is the CEO of Badminton Denmark and in the perfect position to explain how Denmark made history by becoming the first European hosts of the prestigious Thomas and Uber Cup. Jensen expressed his delight by saying,

- We are very excited about the opportunity to host the event in 2020, not only for Denmark, but for Europe. It is something extremely important, as it is the major event for a national federation. It is actually the first time we are hosting the Thomas and Uber Cup concept outside of Asia, which we are very proud about.

An important factor in this was Denmark lifting the Thomas Cup in 2016, also the first Europeans to do so. Jensen on the BEC Podcast shares details on how the bid was planned, submitted and ultimately successful.

Jensen discusses what Denmark have planned for the one hundred year anniversary of Badminton Denmark in 2030, what to expect from the 2020 Thomas and Uber Cup host city of Aarhus, arrangements for fans, exclusive packages available during the week and also the news that Air Badminton will be demonstrated at pop-up events on beaches, parks and streets around the city.

Tickets for Thomas and Uber Cup are now on sale. Enticing fans to buy tickets Jenson stated

- It is a once in a lifetime chance to watch a world championship for teams. We can offer you a great experience in the beautiful city of Aarhus which you can enjoy while watching world class badminton.
