An incredible win for the Stoeva sisters, who delivered an amazing performance today.

Gabriela and Stefani Stoeva beat the Olympic Champions from 2016, Misaki Matsutomo and Ayaka Takahashi, today at the Fuzhou China Open.

The Stoevas won quite comfortably 21-11 in the opening game. The second game was a little closer, but this game was also won by the two sisters 21-17.

Stefani Stoeva had this to say about their win against the fourth seeded Matsutomo and Takahashi from Japan today.

- We are happy with the win today. We had the control and took our chances.

We play like one

As sisters you can say that they know each other well. This also applies when it comes to playing together.

- Today we were more aggressive. We were patient when we had the long rallies and on court, we play like one, Stefani Stoeva said.

Gabriela and Stefani Stoeva will play the fifth seeded Lee So Hee and Shin Seung Chan from Korea in the quarterfinals tomorrow.

- Tomorrow is another day and other opponents, so we will see, she added.
