Tomorrow we have the opening day of the Norwegian International. One player who is a roll and does not want to stop winning is Pablo Abian of Spain.
The number one seed for the men’s singles is coming off the back of two tournament wins; the Algeria International and the Hungarian International Championships just last week. Following his title win in Budaörs he said:
- Playing in Hungary is always special because of the love that people show me and if gold is achieved it is perfect.
With the way he is playing and the spirit he shows on court, it is not clear who can spot him making it three. Abian signed off last week’s success with a simple line that shows his intentions.
- We keep adding, he said.
Home success
The fans in Sandefjord, Norway will be hoping their players will in contention for the title at the end of the week.
In the mixed doubles, Magnus Christensen and Natalie Syvertsen are the number three seeds and are the most likely title contenders. In the men’s doubles, Norway also have fourth seeds Sturla Flaten Jorgensen and Carl Christian Mork to get excited about.
