Ratchanok Intanon hopes to see Carolina Marin back on court soon.

Ratchanok Intanon is 24 years old and a badminton super star. In 2013 she became the youngest ever women’s singles world champion and six years later she is hunting for another title in Basel.

As most badminton fans know the defending champion, Carolina Marin, has still not recovered from her injury, and the Thai misses her Spanish rival.

- She is the light for women’s singles. When I was young, we became friends. We have known each other for a long time, and I worry about her, Ratchanok Intanon said.

Hope Marin will reach top level
On January 27th Carolina Marin suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) during the final of Indonesia Masters against Saina Nehwal.

- I believe that she will come back. I believe she is not a person who gives up, and I hope she will recover fast, Intanon mentioned.

- I wish she will be back at the top level tournaments.
