The YONEX US Open 2019 gets underway this week in Fullerton, U.S.A. and will continue until Sunday 14th.

At the end of the fourth day of the YONEX US Open 2019, the Europeans did their best in the U.S.A. in the Quarterfinals and have given impressive performances.

Only two European pairs managed to reach the Semi-Finals in this BWF World Tour Super 300 event though, and will move towards the podium in the category of the Mixed Doubles.

The Englishmen in sparkling form

The number three seeds Ben Lane and Jessica Pugh from England faced in the Quarterfinals Lu Ching Yao and Lee Chia Hsin from Chinese Taipei, seeded as number seven.

Being in excellent physical condition, the World’s number 30 ranked pair gave a fascinating display and comfortably won out their opponents in two straight games with a score of 21-9, 21-14.

Now in the Semi-Finals, the winners of the Spanish International 2019, will play against Lee Jhe-Huei and Hsu Ya Ching from Chinese Taipei, who started from the qualification round.

The Frenchmen made a stimulating match

The number four seeds Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue from France also picked up a significant victory today in U.S.A. that ended on a spot in the podium.

The French pair played against the Chinese Dong Wei Jie and Chen Xiao Fei delivering an absorbing 45 minutes contest.

The first game ended in favor of the Frenchmen with a score of 21-16. Although the Chinese took the lead in the second one, the Frenchmen fought valiantly and managed to get the better of them with a score of 26-24.

In the Semi-Finals, the bronze medal winners of the European Games 2019, will compete against Yang Po-Hsuan and Hu Ling Fang from Chinese Taipei, who beat the second seeds Marvin Seidel and Linda Efler from Germany.

If the two European pairs manage to beat their competitors, it will be without doubt a very interesting Final for Europe.
