Rudolf Dellenbach has been one of the coaches on the BWF Level 2 Coach Education course in Podcetrtek, Slovenia.

The Hungarian believes that he has learned a lot from the course but has also taken the advantage to be able to network.

Enjoyable experience

Dellenbach was pleased about the level of the coaches in Slovenia and revealed that he took a lot in.

- I have enjoyed this week at the Coach Education in Slovenia, was very good to meet new people and was good to learn from the staff coaches, he said.

- They are really experienced, and good coaches learned a lot from them. I heard it will be hard...and that’s what I have experienced as well, Dellenbach added

- It was very intense every day with small tasks during the training and annual planning and Assessment pack.

- However, I think it was good, it showed how a course like this should be taught, he continued.

No regrets

Dellenbach is satisfied with the playing career that he has had despite him having to put the racket down as a player in 2017.

- The best years of my career was when I was training with the National Team in Milan where I was able to improve a the most and also managed to qualify to Glasgow World Championships. Although I was not able to play due to unfortunate reasons, he said.

- Following that, I had to make a hard decision to stop to be a professional athlete, the coach added.

The coach revealed that it is not something he will regret, ever, and is now enjoying his coaching.

- I have played so many tournaments around the world, was a great experience to meet new persons, made a lot of friends, fought a lot of hard matches, he continued.

- Right now, I’m coaching in Swiss and still playing Team Championship, so I haven't completely gone out from the Badminton life, which makes me happy that I've still remained in these circles where I really grew up since I was 8 years old.
