Frogner II is the second team today, to have reached the semi-finals of the European Club Championships.

A strange match

Vegard Rikheim who played for Frogner II in the Men’s Singles category revealed that it was not a normal match to play in.

Rikheim expressed his relief from winning the match and helping his team to reach the semi-finals.

- I am very happy to have given my club the win, in this important match, he said.

- It was a strange match, the momentum changed all of the time, from me winning five points to my opponent winning five points, Rikheim added.

- I think if we had lost my match then it would have been tough but I managed to level the tie, and we are really happy to be here, The Men's Singles player continued.

Time to enjoy

Magnus Christensen and Torjus Flaaten helped their side to the semi-finals of the tournament, and have set up a tie against Primorye Vladivostok.

The pair are adamant that they will enjoy playing against what is effectively a large number of the Russian National Team.

- I don’t know what to say but we are just very happy and the next matches we just need to enjoy it and learn from it, Christensen said.

- We cannot expect anything from, later on, we just want to have fun, Flaaten added.

- Of course, we can learn a lot from the tie, but the most important thing is for us to enjoy it because it is the first time, Christensen added.
