The President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, will be watching when the last finals at the European Games take place.

Badminton has since 1992 been recognized as an Olympic sport, and badminton has delivered many memorable moments at the absolute biggest stage.

European legend and BWF President Poul-Erik Høyer won the first ever European Olympic gold medal, and Sunday afternoon Bach took a look at some of the players, who will also be fighting for the gold in Tokyo in 2020.

The 65-year old German, who won the Olympic fencing gold medal in 1976, has been President for the IOC since 2013.
