A big upset as Corrales is beaten

The European Games is only two days in and already the first upset of the tournament has occurred, in the way of Beatriz Corrales.

Beatriz Corrales has been beaten after three games, by Maja Pavlinic from Croatia, (21-19, 18-21, 16-21).

The feeling of winning

Pavlinic was in jubilation after the match, when reviewing her performance and chances of advancing to the next stage of the tournament.

- I am very happy and satisfied with my game today. I can say that I didn’t expect to win but I was fully relaxed and it was good! Maja Pavlinic said.

- I really want to get through to the knockout rounds. It will be interesting for sure, I will give my best tomorrow, she added.

The Croatian stated that the victory lies there with the big achievements she has attained, such as winning the Slovenian International last year.

- This victory is definitely up there with the best achievements, of my career, I am so happy. The 22-year old continued.
