Now the BEC Gala awards are completed, and here are the statistics of how the award was chosen for each of the nine categories.

A panel of five people among the world of badminton voted for their choice of each award. Each panel member had the chance to give either 3, 2 or 1 point to three of the four players.

3 points goes to the player who in the panel member’s opinion deserves to win. 2 points to number 2, etc. The player with the most points is the winner of the BEC Award.

If two players/pairs get the same amount of point the panel vote between the two contesters giving their favourite 1 point and the other 0.

These are the votes from the panel, which included:

The BEC President (Gregory Verpoorten)
The High-Performance Director (Richard Vaughn)
The BEC General Secretary (Brian Agerbak)
The Chair of the Athletes Commission (Selena Piek)
One member of the Media (Dennis Bostrup, TV 2 Denmark)
