Russia and England win straight

On Day 2 of the European Mixed Team Championships, Russia won 5-0 against Germany, England was able to beat Ireland 5-0. 


Now, all eyes are on England versus Germany tomorrow. The winner of this duel will be reaching the semi-finals on Saturday.

One of the happy winners on Tursday was Vladimir Malkov, who won his Men’s Singles match against the current National Champion from Germany, Max Weisskirchen. 


- We are just seven players here in Copenhagen, but we have a good team spirit, Vladimir Malkov said after the match.

5-0 is also the final result for England against their neighbor’s, Ireland. England was dominating all categories. 


The spectators were watching a new old pair playing together: Chris Adcock and Chris Langridge. Chris Adcock will not be playing Mixed Doubles with Gabby Adcock at the EMTC, as she had to travel back home due to an injury. 


- It is a shoot-out between us and Germany, whoever wins goes through. It will be a big match tomorrow, Chris Langridge said.
