Players to watch

Unfortunately, most famous Spanish player and world champion Carolina Marin will not play, as she got injured during the finals of the Indonesian Masters. However, Spain still has Beatriz Corrales, Clara Azurmendi and Sara Penalver who are also strong women’s singles players to look out for.

Adding youngsters like Manuela Diaz, Lorena Usle, Nerea Ivorra Masia and Paula Lopez makes the female Spanish players complete.

Pablo Abian is the most experienced player of the Spanish team and will carry the team. Luis Enrique Penalver is also known to win important matches, as well as Manuel Vazquez who recently reached the final of the Iceland International.

The male squad is completed with Alejandro Alcala, Alvaro Vazquez and Alberto Zapico to give these youngsters the needed experience.
