Ireland – Norway: 3-0

In group 7 the qualification final was played today between the winners of the two subgroups: Ireland and Norway. Ireland proved to be the stronger team, winning three matches and finishing the tie very soon.

Sam and Chloe Magee started with a win against Solvår Flåten Jørgensen and Carl Christian Mork and are very happy with their match.

- I think we played quite well today. We controlled the speed well and we controlled the game well from the start. They struggled a little bit and I’m happy with the performance. We did well, Sam Magee told Badminton Europe.

Nhat Nguyen won from Marius Myhre in two straight sets and looks forward to playing the final stage in Copenhagen.

- It is really good for me to qualify because I get to play the top players in Europe so I’m really looking forward to it, Nhat Nguyen said.

Sara Boyle finished the tie with a victory against Elisa Wiborg and guaranteed Ireland a spot at the final stage.
