Nearly one thousand kids were gathered in Aire sur la Lys to see France win their opening tie 5-0 against the Faroe Islands. The great atmosphere surely helped the French team and Thomas Rouxel was really happy about the crowd.

Slovakia - Estonia: 1-4
In the second tie of the day, Estonia secured an important 4-1 win over Slovakia and Kristin Kuuba seemed quite relieved after beating Martina Repiska.
- I was a bit slow, in the 2nd set especially, last time we played each other it was also a hard fight, so I am just happy that I won.
