European Champions still standing

Wednesday was a tough day for the European Mixed Doubles at the World Junior Championships, but two pairs are ready for the fourth round. 

Four European Mixed Doubles bowed out of the World Junior Championships on Wednesday night, while two pairs are ready to enter the fourth round on Thursday. 

One of the pairs are the European Junior Champions, Fabien Delrue and Juliette Moinard from France, who are seeded seventh at the tournament. The French beat Wen Xing Abel Tan and Yue Yann Jaslun Hooi from Singapore in straight games, 21-19 and 21-19.

In the fourth round, the French will play against Chan Wang and Na Eun Jeong from Korea.


Bronze medalists ready for more
Through to the fourth round are also the Germans, Lukas Resch and Emma Moszczynski. The 2019 European Junior Championships bronze medalists beat Toh and Lim from Singapore 21-16, 17-21 and 21-12.

The result means that the Germans will play against Chia Wei Jie and Ee Wei Toh from Malaysia in the fourth round.
