We are now just seven days away from the Li-Ning BWF World Junior Badminton Championships in Canada.

The tournament where up and coming stars from across the world will go head to head with 49-Member Associations taking part.

The Team Event will be held between 5-10 November before the individual event will run between 11-18 November.


Who is representing Europe

In Group A, there are two European countries, Germany in Group A1 and Netherlands are in Group A2. In Group B, there is Ukraine, Poland and Sweden.

Group C has no European nations in, while France and Norway are in Group D for the round-robin stage.

Group E is absent of European nations while Group F has Scotland, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Spain.

Group G also only has one nation in Europe which is Denmark while Group H has England and Austria.

Preparation is complete!
England’s Hope Warner speaking to Badminton Europe believes that she has done all she can do to prepare for the Championships in Canada. 

The seventeen-year-old also revealed that she has been training with her group, where they all helped each other out.

-I think my preparation has gone really well and I’ve done all I can to make sure I perform my best level while I’m out there.

- The team have also been training together as a group very well, and we’ve helped each other out a lot in the process.

- I couldn’t be more excited! I’ve never been to Canada and we’ve all been training really hard for this event, so it’ll be good to get started.
