In their third final of the Dutch Open, Gabriela and Stefani Stoeva (Bulgaria) claimed their second title in Almere. Different than before, this title seemed way more important than their previous one.

- We are hoping to qualify for the Super Tour final in December, so we are happy to accomplish our position as favorites, Stefani stated to Badminton Europe.

In the final they played against home crowd favorites Selena Piek & Cheryl Seinen, who also had a good run at the Dutch Open

- They played like on their 200% and got a lot of support from the crowd. They also surprisingly beat the Danish pair yesterday, Gabriela commented.

Keep on fighting

Gabriela and Stefani eventually won in two games, but it definitely was not easy. Especially in the second game they went through a hard time as they were 9-14 behind

- I think they changed tactics at the start of the second game. They played less aggressive and made us walk around and work very hard Gabriela continued.

- We also really did not want to play a third game. I think some long rallies in a row made them tired as well and made us able to come back, Stefani added

Ultimate goal

After the Dutch Open, the Stoeva sisters will continue their tour in Denmark, France, Germany and Scotland. All in the hope to finally qualify for the Super Tour final.

- We just missed the Super final in December twice in a row. Now we really want to qualify to take the challenge with the top 7, Stefani continued.

Until that time, the sisters enjoy their time in Almere.

- It is really nice to see how many people come to see their players play.
