The two top players of the BEC Elite Circuit Ranking met in the quarter-finals of the Belgian International. And the guy on top of the ranking was also on top today.

Victor Svendsen was off to a good start playing aggressive while Pablo Abian was struggling making winners against the 23-year-old Dane. The current number one on the BEC Elite Circuit Ranking won the first game 21-14.

- Pablo’s style of playing fits my style really good. He is not brining that much power into the game. He is playing the shuttle around the court, which allows me to bring my speed. I have more speed than him, and that is the key, Svendsen says.

3-0 head to head
Svendsen who is seeded seven in the tournament was on top at the interval leading 11-9 against second seed Abian in a matchup where the phase was high in every single rally.

Svendsen took his third win against Abian winning 21-15 in the second game, and he is now leading 3-0 head to head.

- I love this place. The hall is nice and the shuttles are slow. The setup is good and I enjoy being here, Svendsen says.

Victor Svensen will face Indian Dey Subhankar in the semi-final
