Meet new BEC Junior Communication Manager Annika Langrock

Badminton Europe presents Annika Langrock as a new member of the BEC office in Copenhagen, Denmark.

It was not too much of a journey for Annika Langrock to travel and join the office of BEC in Brøndby. The 22-year-old from Hamburg just received her degree from university, she studied journalism and media communication in Hamburg and South Wales. 

- It is my first real job, that is very exciting. I am looking forward to living and working abroad. Copenhagen is a beautiful city and besides, I am not too far away from my family and friends.

Experiences as a sports journalist
During her studies, Annika Langrock did a mandatory internship at the communication’s department of the German football Bundesliga club Hertha BSC in Berlin. Furthermore, she worked in the sports department of a big newspaper in Germany.

- Since I was a little girl I wanted to become a sports journalist. I am very passionate about sports and am happy to finally fulfil my dream in Denmark.

New team
Annika Langrock will join the communication department of Badminton Europe (BEC) as the new Junior Manager. Therefore, her work at BEC focuses on European Badminton news and events.

- I am looking forward to joining the BEC team in Copenhagen and working with the sports of badminton on a daily basis. I consider myself a team player and am happy to be part of a new team.

Next to her daily tasks at the BEC office in Brøndby, Annika Langrock is going to report about different badminton tournaments in Europe. 

- It will be exciting to travel and meet the badminton players. This is what I love about this job: one interacts with different people and sees the world. Sport connects people all over the world, that’s amazing. It’s a language that everybody speaks.
