Laura  Marti Diez is a junior manager, specialising in video communication and graphic design in the (BEC) office.
Marti Diez, 24, has joined the team and has moved to Denmark from Catalonia where she attended Ramon Llull University, before working for one of the biggest tv programmes in Catalonia.
-    I was born in Barcelona and wanted to work in film directing from a young age because I had a passion for the film industry, and also wanted to produce my own content.

-    I studied Audiovisual communications specialising in TV and script writing, at Ramon Llull University.

-    I worked for a tv programme in Catalonia called Alguna Pregunta Mes, it was a humour tv programme and it is broadcast on the most watched channel in Catalonia. I did a lot of the research for the pieces and also provided script ideas for the script team.

A new experience
Prior to joining BEC, Marti Diez spent time working for Schneider Electric, one of the leading Digital Energy Management companies in the world.
-    I worked for Schneider Electric where I was in charge of the social media graphics, specialising in video, especially tutorials and graphics for the company

-    I have never been in the sports sector, so that will be one of the biggest challenges for me, considering that it will be my first time working in sport but I will try to adapt my skills for the role.

-    I really feel happy to be part of Badminton Europe, there are a lot of possibilities to grow for me here, as well as the facilities and staff being very nice, it is good to join the team.

Moving countries to work
Diez has moved from her home country, Spain to work in Denmark but this is not the first time that she will have been here.
-    Despite me coming to Denmark quite regularly over the past twelve months, it still is different from living here.

-    It is a big step because I am completely outside of my comfort zone. However, it won’t be too difficult because I have been made feel very welcome by everyone here at BEC.

-    I am very excited about all aspects of my role but one part in particular that I am excited to do is the travelling to tournaments. Not only because it is going to different places, but I believe that you can learn a lot more and you can see things very differently by doing that!
