As the last European man standing in Akita, Japan, Jan O Jorgenson is slowly re-finding his game and has gained a spot in the semi-finals.

The journey hasn’t been straight forward for Jorgenson, and it seems 3 is the magic number. In his 3 matches, all have gone to 3 games, and he has been on court a total of 3 hours.

The quarter-final against Indonesia’s Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo had 2 first games that could have gone either way, but it was fitness that was the winning factor in the end, 19-21, 21-19, 21-8.

Denmark’s 5th seed, Jorgensen, will now face the 8th seed from Thailand Sitthikom Thammasin.
