Brice Leverdez has reached his career-best result of no. 19 on the men’s singles world ranking list. He is three spots up compared to last week.
-Top 20 is a step forward for me. I know I have few more steps to climb to reach my goals but it’s nice to reach this ranking at the moment. I worked for it and it’s just the outcome of the hard work, Leverdez tells Badminton Europe.
After reaching into the quarterfinals in Malaysia Open and later winning China’s Chen Long in Indonesia Open in the first round, Leverdez will play in Thailand Open next week. Talking about his goals on ranking, Leverdez says:
-The next step for me would be to reach top 15 by the end of this year.
New ranking for men’s singles
Anders Antonsen (Denmark) moved one spot up to occupy position no. 15 on the men’s singles world ranking list.
Pablo Abian (Spain) and Vladimir Malkov (Russia) both moved one spot up to occupy positions no. 43 and no. 46 respectively. Emil Holst (Denmark) is standing on position no. 45 after climbing three spots up. Toby Penty (England) has also moved three spots up to stand on position no. 49.
Misha Zilberman (Israel) has advanced in two spots to occupy position no. 47. Denmark’s Jan O Jorgensen has entered into the top 50 after climbing seven positions up.
Other changes
Kirsty Gilmour (Scotland) has moved two spots up occupying position no. 28 on the women’s singles world ranking list. Julie Dawall Jacobsen (Denmark) is standing on position no. 49 after climbing three spots up.
Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen are world no. 7 on the men’s doubles world ranking list after climbing two spots up. Chris Adcock/Gabrielle Adcock (England) have the same luck on the mixed doubles world ranking list – world no. 7 after moving two spots up.
Maiken Fruergaard/Sara Thygesen (Denmark) have climbed three spots up to occupy position no. 17 on the women’s doubles world ranking list.
