European mixed pairs pour into quarters

Many European mixed double pairs are ready for the quarterfinals on Friday June 16th at YONEX US Open 2018.

First seeds Marcus Ellis and Laurens Smith will face their countrymen from England, Jessica Pugh and Ben Lane, after 21-7, 21-12 victory on Thursday morning.

In the other half of the draw, German second seeds Mark Lamsfuss and Isabel Herttrich are also through to Friday’s round. Hock Lai Lee and Paula Lynn Obanana from the United States of America was their opponents in the second round on Thursday. 

But after 27 minutes, the German bronze medalists from the 2018 European Championships won the match with the score; 21-12 21-13.


Big German delegation
A big group of German players have taken the trip to California for the 2018 US Open. Besides Lamsufuss and Herttrich, Marvin Emil Seidel and Linda Efler are also through and will face their countrymen Jonas Ralfy Jansen and Carla Nelte.

Furthermore, Jenny Moore and Gregory Mairs from England conclude the total list of six European mixed pairs that have succeeded for the quarterfinals. 

The BWF Super 300 tournament is being organized in Fullerton and the time difference is 9 hours behind from Central European Summer Time (CEST). Please keep that in mind when you check the results on www.tournamentsoftware.com
