The YONEX US Open gets underway tomorrow in Fullerton with many countries from Europe taking part.

Europe dominates the Mixed Doubles.

The number one seed in this tournament in the Men’s Singles is England’s Marcus Ellis and Lauren Smith, who play the pair from Thailand,

Pakin Kuna- Anuvit and Supissara Paewsampran.They are joined by German pair Mark Lamsfuss and Isabel Herttrich, Jacco Arends and Selena piek from the Netherlands, Marvin Emil Seidel and Linda Efler are the fourth seeds for the tournament, while seventh seeds are England’s Ben Lane and Jessica Pugh, with finally eighth seeds Robin Tabeling and Cheryl Seinen from the Netherlands.

Ellis and Langridge ones to watch?

In the Men’s Doubles, Marcus Ellis and Chris Langridge form England are the number one seeds for the tournament and with them getting a bye to the next stage of the tournament, it leaves them with a great chance of going as far as possible.

The pair are joined by German pairs Mark Lamsfuss and Marvin Emi Seidel as well as Jones Ralfy Jansen and Josche Zurwonne. The seventh seeds for the tournament are Jelle Maas and Robin Tabeling from the Netherlands.

Who to watch?

In the Men’s Singles, it is Brice Leverdez flying the flag for Europe with him being the only male seeded player in the singles. He will go up against fellow European player Jan O Jorgensen in the round of 32.

Joining Leverdez in the seeding for Europe is Beatriz Corrales from Spain who is the number eight seed for the tournament in the Women’s Singles. There are three representations for Europe in the Women’s Doubles category. 

Selena Piek and Cheryl Seinen are the number two seeds, with Emilie Lefel and Anne Tran from France are the number three seeds. Last but certainly not least are the German pairing of Isabel Herttrich and Carla Nelte
