Kristoffer Knudsen/Isabella Nielsen from Denmark are leading the BEC Elite Circuit Ranking in mixed doubles. Kristoffer Knudsen admits that it is a great feeling to be recognized for their hard work on court.

It has been a great year for the Danish mixed pair Kristoffer Knudsen/Isabella Nielsen. The Danish pair is leading the BEC Elite Circuit Ranking, and they are happy to lead the ranking.

- It is always a great feeling to be recognized for our hard work. It can be hard to see progress when working daily with very small details, says Kristoffer Knudsen to Badminton Europe.

Hard work with the same partner

Knudsen believes that the explanation of the success has something to do with working hard with the same partner for a longer period of time.

- I believe that matching your expectations with your partner is crucial. ‘How much should we play? How much do I expect my partner to train?’ Being on the same page as your partner removes a lot of pressure when playing.

- Nowadays, on our level, too many people change partners too often. If things don't work out from the start, they jump from one to another. I believe that if you really want to climb the rankings, you should play at least 6-8 tournaments together before coming to a conclusion.

In the end, Knudsen shares that they have one primary goal for the coming future.

- Now, it's all about raising our own level if we want to be in the top 40, which currently is our primary goal, Kristoffer Knudsen ends.
