Following the draws of men’s and women’s singles, the three doubles events’ draws for the 2018 European Championships have been published today on April 10th at 13 PM.

The Irish bronze medalists from last year, Sam and Chloe Magee, can start to prepare for a tough first round against the second seeds and one of the new power mixed doubles of Europe; Christinna Pedersen and Mathias Christiansen from Denmark.

Wild card recipients Joachim Fishcer and Alexandra Bøje also has a tough draw in the other half, as they will be up against the reigning champions Chris and Gabrielle Adcock of England, if they make it past the French duo of Thom Giqcuel and Delphine Delrue in the first round.

If the reigning English champions will reclaim the title, we will have to wait for April 24 and see how the draw unfolds in Huelva.

Strong first seeds in doubles
In the men’s and women’s doubles event, the two top-seeded Danish pairs of Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen and Kamilla Rytter Juhl/Christinna Pedersen hold the roles as favorites.

While a lot of exciting matches are scheduled throughout the draw and the question is still who will be on the podiums in the end of April?

Last year in Kolding, four Danish pairs won all four medals in men’s doubles and this year other strong pairs from England, Germany and Russia are hungry to push either of them off.
