Last year’s finalist will be hoping to one step further in his home event. The Orleans Masters is now a BWF Tour Super 100 event, which means a stiffer test and more exciting competition. And this year the draw is full of quality.

Lucas Corvee says that “I love playing in Orleans and it is an important goal in my season”. But he is more than aware of the hurdles along his journey to the title. Although Lucas is confident of his work leading up to the tournament as he says

- I’m well prepared for this tournament and I look very much forward to start. I'll put all my focus on each match as I would face very difficult player from the first match.

Verma is the toughtest opponent
The man from Alencon, just around 200km from Orleans, has also identified his toughest opponent on his side of the draw.

- It would be Sameer Verma, the recent winner of Swiss open. I can meet him in the quarter-final, but I'll have for sure tough challenges to go through before being able to play him.

Europeans is the big goal
Lucas Corvee will no doubt have the home support throughout the week, willing him to emulate his form in this tournament, and once again fight for the title in the final.

After Orleans, Lucas Corvee says:

- The big goals will be European at the end of April, where I’ll do my absolute best to arrive there with the better shape I possibly can.
