Mathias Christiansen and Christinna Pedersen have not succeeded to reach the mixed doubles final of the 2018 Yonex All England Open. In three games they were defeated by Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong.

Christansen and Pedersen started with a little more control over the first game, which they were able to keep until. In the second game, it was completely the other way around.

The Danish pair seemed slowly getting control back over the game. Then fate struck upon them and their victory was taken away by the Chinese.

- Disappointed. But I also feel we gave a really good fight against the Chinese, Pedersen told Badminton Europe after their match

Disappointed and proud.

- The Chinese are almost unstoppable since they partnered up, so I am also proud. But missing the All England final with only 2 points is a disappointed feeling, Pedersen continued.

While Pedersen has been playing at the All England for several years now, Christiansen is quite new at this tournament. For him, it was his first All England semi-final.

- I am amazed how he managed to play this match. He did a very good job!! Pedersen ended.
