In the period 26 - 28 October 2012, the BWF Level 1 – Tutors’ Course will be held in Medvode, Slovenia. 13 participants from Belgium, Greece, Hungary, Croatia, Poland, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovenia will take part in the course, organized by Badminton Europe in cooperation with Badminton World Federation and with a great help of the host – Slovenian Badminton Federation. The course will be directed by Joann Hughes from England, the BWF expert for the coach education courses.

Badminton Europe are working closely with BWF on a new Coach Education System as we would like all our Member Associations to have a structured Coach Education System in their country.

The project is still in its pilot phase. However, for the future we are working on the system, where the countries send tutors/instructors to a tutors’ course organized by Badminton Europe/BWF. If the tutors’ pass this course they are enabled to run Coach Education Level 1 courses in their own country.

One Coach Education course for tutors has been already held in June, 15 to 17 in Antwerp, Belgium.

You can find more information regarding the coach education on BWF official website http://bwfbadminton.org/page.aspx?id=14878.
