As the Hatzor International came to a close today, the host country saw themselves dominate the doubles podiums.

The final day consisted of five matches of which three of them were taken to three sets.

Ranked 142nd, Isreali players Alexander Bass and Shai Geffen saw themselves come in first place on the podium in the mens doubles. Bass was ranked number one seed in the mens doubles in this competition.

They beat their Russian opponents in straight sets 21-17,21-16.

Fellow countrymen Ofir Belenki and Shoni Schwartzman also came in fourth.

Israel also took two places on the podium in the women’s doubles as they took third and fourth place.

The host country has had a more than successful tournament, also taking first and fourth place in the mixed doubles.

Yonathon Levit came from behind to beat his Polish opponentsafter three sets. With an impressive third set ending as 30-28.
