From 5th to 11th of August a BEC Regional Project was held in Brig, Switzerland.
Over 30 hours training were organized for all the players, including five individual sessions, daily grouptraining, power training and timeslots for recovery. The "Nations Camp" was once again full of activities for all players and coaches from Switzerland, Austria and Germany.

23 youth national-players and 7 coaches have used the opportunity, to prepare for the upcoming season in the best way in the Sporthotel OLYMPICA in Brig. The hospitality and the high class facilities of the OLYMPICA was again a key-factor to inspire athletes and coaches for even higher performances. Michael Fuchs (Junior National Coach in Switzerland) confirmed it: "This was my first time at the "Nations-Camp" in Brig and I really enjoyed it. The dedication of the players as well as the infrastructure and service provided by the Olympica Hotel was absolutely great".
"It was impressive, how fast the players develope with daily intensive individual training. It was a hard week, but for sure it was a good start into the season.“, Matthias Hütten (National Junior Coach in Germany) look back at a successful week.
"It was really nice to see, how the group grew up during the week. Everyone has benefited from each other." added Oliver Roth (German Coach);  the individual sessions represented especially a great effort for the players: "In these sessions, in which a coach has worked with a maximum of two players have shown how much progress is possible in two intensive hours. This is what the players have recognized and worked on their weaknesses accordingly."

One of the highlights was again the unforgettable uphill run which is one of the big challenges during the camp. "This year, I was especially fascinated by the great commitment of our players to each unit and to push each other to the limit." reflected Sabrina Heiniger (Switzerland) the Camp.

At the end everybody was proud to get through the programme and took new experiences, abilities and memories back home. And last but not least a lot of new friendships between the European Junior Players and Coaches have been made. "This was the basis for working the whole week with high quality and at the limit!" said Daniel Grasmück (Junior National Coach in Austria).

All players and coaches are already looking forward to the next "Nations Camp" in 2018.

Badminton Europe is once again truly happy to help Germany, Switzerland and Austria in the organization of their Regional project.
