Primorye from Russia is the new European Club Champion. The team from the Vladivostok region beat Team Skælskør-Slagelse from Denmark in Saturday's finals 4-2 and secured the prestigious trophy for the third time in the history of the competition. Primorye also took the title in 2007 and 2008.
It was veteran player Stanislav Pukhov who won the deciding match against youngster Kim Bruun. Before Pukhov was delivering the fourth point to his team, Anastasia Prokopenko in the women's singles, the men's doubles Dremin/Sozonov and the former European Champions Nina Vislova/Valeri Sorokina won their matches. Hans-Kristian Vittinghus and Robert Mateusiak/Nadiezda Zieba won the matches on the Danish side.
Bronze medals went to Sokol Vesely Brno - Jenice (CZE) and Issy Les Moulineaux (FRA). Congratulations to all medal winners.
