Last week end was held a BWF Coach Education Level 1 Tutor course in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal.

17 participants from all over Europe gathered there and took part in this course led by Jeroen van Dijk and Tom Causer (ENG).

The course went really well. Starting on Friday morning with a short presentation of everyone, the course happened most of the time in thehall giving the chance to the participants to have as much coaching andtutoring practices as possible.

Everyone was able to experience the different parts of this kind of course, including the introduction of the resources, the education of new learning styles, how to give feedbacks and being able to prepare the planning of a Coach Education level 1 course.

The difficult part for the participants in this course is always to put themselves in the role of the tutor and not only the coach. But overall everyone did well and very quickly a lot of improvements were noticed by Jeroen and Tom.

The Saturday session went on with a lot of other tasks to be delivered by the participants and ended up with a global feedbacks session. The group atmosphere was really good and everyone could learn from each other’s experiences.

The course ended on Sunday with a final task (planning a course) and with the delivery of the certificates by Tom and Jeroen.
