What a match! Denmark rallied from two matches down to beat Malaysia 3-2 and reach its first Thomas Cup final in 10 years on Friday. It is their 10th final in this prestigious event since 1949.

The Danes, a nine-time runner-up, will play Indonesia in the final on Sunday. The Danes have lost four previous finals to Indonesia, who will be trying for a record-extending 14th championship. The Indonesians beat Korea 3-1.

China and Korea will contest their third Uber Cup women's final in the last four editions.

China looked at the prospect of a 14th Uber Cup title after sweeping aside India 3-0, while Korea passed Japan 3-1

In the most dramatic tie of the day, Denmark clinched a Thomas Cup final berth when Emil Holst defeated Chong Wei Feng 21-15, 21-18 to seal the victory.

Malaysia went 2-0 up on wins by second-ranked Lee Chong Wei and doubles pair Goh V. Shem and Tan Wee Kiong.

But then Hans-Kristian Vittinghus and the pair of Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen leveled the score. Holst won the decider in 50 minutes.

"What happened today is nothing short of fantastic! WHAT A TEAM PERFORMANCE! Need I say more?", said Hans-Kristian Vittinghus.

"We were down 2-0 playing without Mogensen, Jørgensen and Kolding, but we refused to give up. This is the best moment of my career no doubt, but now we start to focus on the final on Sunday! Let's win the trophy for Denmark."

"Crazy to be in my third Thomas Cup final. Such an amazing team performance beating Malaysia  3-2 after being 0-2 down.

Tomorrow we have a well deserved day off, so we can be 100% fit for the final Sunday against Indonesia", wrote doubles star Mathias Boe via Facebook.
