Badminton Europe is pleased to inform that we will organise a coaches’ seminar during the 2016 European Championships held from 26 April until 1 May 2016 in La Roche sur Yon (Vendée), France. The seminar is open for all coaches who are taking part in the European Championships.

The seminar will be held on Friday 29 April 2016 from 10:00 – 12:00.

Topic
The topic of the seminar will be how to coach female badminton players.
Speakers
Fabrice Vallet: Former National Coach of France. He has a lot of experience in how to coach female players through his work with for example Hongyan Pi. Fabrice will share how he has been working with Hongyan Pi and Elisa Chanteur.
Hongyan Pi: Former national player of France. She has achieved many international results; in 2009 she won the bronze medal at the BWF World Championships. Hongyan will talk about her experiences and give her point of view how to best work with female players.
Elisa Chanteur: Former national player of France. Won the women’s double title in the Mauritius International and Finnish International in 2010. Elisa will talk about her experiences and give her point of view how to best work with female players.
Huaiwen Xu: Former national player of Germany. She won a bronze medal at the 2005 and 2006 BWF World Championships. Huaiwen will talk about what has been important for her in the cooperation between coach and player.
Jeroen van Dijk: Former national coach of Germany. He worked from 2005 until 2008 with Huaiwen Xu. Jeroen will explain how he has been working with Huaiwen and share his point of view of what is important when coaching women.
