It is election day in Kazan

It is election day at the 2016 European Men’s & Women’s Team Championships in Kazan and time for players to make their voice heard.

The BEC Athletes Commission will be formed comprising of three members and the Chair shall be a full voting member of BEC Board and be an ex-officio Member of all BEC Commissions.

The nominees for the first BEC Athletes Commission are:


Ernesto Velàzquez from Spain is automatically elected as one of the BEC Athletes Commission member. This is in accordance with Rules 3.3. of the BEC Athlete Representation guidelines which states ´At least one male and one female Commission Member must be elected. In the event that there is only one male or one female player nominated, that male or that female shall automatically be elected to the BEC Athletes Commission´.

Player can cast their votes at the Badminton Europe tournament office where voting forms are available.

Voting finishes at 17.00 local time.
