Three days of back to back meetings completed on Sunday, 17th January in the city center of Copenhagen. Badminton Europe Confederation (BEC) kicked start the Olympic year by hosting the first Board of Directors (BoD) and Commissions Meetings for 2016 among the other events that are planned for this year.
All the Directors, external Commission Members and BEC staff who were present were very enthusiastic and were keen to share their ideas for the betterment of European badminton.
´Now that we have completed the three days meeting, there are plenty of new implementations that need to be in place. The BEC office is already going through all the ideas from the Directors and Commission Members to plan our delivery. It will be an interesting year ahead and we are really looking forward to see the progress of our sport, ´stated
Brian Agerbak, General Secretary of BEC.

Apart from the fruitful meetings, participants also had the chance to socialize during lunch breaks and dinners. Despite being busy with their professional occupation, the BEC Directors and Commission Members took the effort to be present in Copenhagen.
The next BoD and Commissions Meetings this year will be held in September and an advertisement to host this event will be published at the end of January. All 52 Member Associations are invited to bid for the rights to host.
