Glasgow in Scotland and Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia are bidding to host the BWF Sudirman Cup (World Mixed Team Championships) in 2017.

The Badminton World Federation received bids from the respective Member Associations – Badminton Scotland and Badminton Australia – on the cities’ behalf ahead of the 31 July deadline for submissions.

Queensland will host the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, with badminton slated to take place at the Centre.

The two bids will be presented at the BWF’s Council Session in Peru, Lima (10-14 November) and the winner will be announced immediately afterwards.
