#EC22: How to follow the 2022 European Championships

The 2022 European Championships kick off today. Here is what you need to know to keep up with all the action happening in Madrid, no matter where you are.

Today marks the start of what will be the 29th edition of Badminton Europe’s most awaited event, the European Championships. The return of the audience will surely add to the electric atmosphere, but you can also keep up with the fun despite not being in attendance in Madrid.  

Where to watch the matches
From today 25 to 30 April, the biggest badminton talents in Europe will be meeting in Madrid for the 2022 European Championships. They will be aired in full on www.badmintoneurope.tv.

European badminton transcends the continent’s borders. Whether you’re in Europe or not, the grand competition can be watched through different broadcasting companies who have decided to show all the action due to its importance and popularity. The following will be showing matches on Court 1 from Thursday 28 April.

Fans from Denmark can follow the action on TV2 Denmark, while those from Spain can watch on RTVE. Those watching from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan can watch on TV Start. 

Asian fans will be happy to learn that they can follow the last three days of the tournament too. Viewers from Brunei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam can watch it on Eleven Sports Asia. For those following from Thailand, both Mono and True Vision will be their go-to place to watch matches on Friday or Saturday. Indian fans will be able to watch on DDI, and Taiwanese supporters can watch Friday and Saturday matches on ELTA.

  • Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan: TV Start on Thursday 28, Friday 29 and Saturday 30.
  • Brunei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam: Eleven Sports Asia on Thursday 28, Friday 29 and Saturday 30.
  • Denmark: TV 2 Denmark on Thursday 28, Friday 29 and Saturday 30.
  • India: DDI on Friday 29 and Saturday 30.
  • Taiwan: ELTA on Friday 29 and Saturday 30.
  • Thailand: Mono and True Vision on Friday 29 and Saturday 30.
