Enjoy Mathias Boe on court while you can!

This week will be special for the badminton fans in Liévin: It is the last time they will see the former All England winner, Olympic and World Championships medallist and world number one, Mathias Boe, at a European Team Championships.

- It will most likely be the last European Team Championships for me. The peaks I have my eyes on are All England, Thomas Cup and hopefully the Olympics. That is where my focus is. I will not continue for another full year, Mathias Boe said.

Room for improvement
In the opening match Boe and Mads Conrad won in straight games, 21-14 21-7, against Andrew Jones/Adam Stewart from Wales.

- We wanted to go on court and find the speed that we need further on in this tournament. We tried as much as possible and it was quite all right. There is room for improvement, Boe stated.

On Wednesday Denmark will be facing Latvia.
