With less than three months to go the 2020 European Championships logo has been revealed and the ticket sale is also on!
A logo is always special and the story of the #EC20 logo tells a unique story of a badminton fan becoming the designer of one of the most prestigious logos in European badminton.
Followers of the Ukrainian Badminton Federation Facebook page were invited to send in a design. The winner was Violette Nagorna, a professional designer from Kharkiv. The idea and symbolism of the logo is that it connects the coat of arms of Ukraine and the shuttlecock.
The logo was presented today at a meeting for the Government Organising Committee together with Badminton Europe General Secretary, Brian Agerbak, Deputy General Secretary, Jimmy Andersen and Event Manager, Tamara Geeraerts.
In a nice touch, the first ticket for the championships was personally given to the designer of the logo, Violette Nagorna, by Brian Agerbak and Oleksii Dniprov, President of the Ukrainian Badminton Federation.
As of today, you can get your hands-on tickets for the 2020 European Championships, which will be taking place in Kiev on 21-26 April 2020.
