It is hard to make it to the World Championships quarterfinals for the Stoeva Sisters.

The Stoeva Sisters at the World Championships since 2015:

2015: Second round
2017: Third round
2018: Third round

At the World Championships 2019 in Basel it again came to an end for the defending European champions in the… third round.

- I do not know why it is so hard to reach that quarterfinal. It is hard to find the right words after you lose and we cannot get past this round, Gabriela Stoeva said.

Need to work together
Stefani and Gabriela Stoeva lost in straight games, 19-21 16-21, to Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu from Indonesia, who are seeded five at the Championships.

- The things we do in training, we also need to do on court. We have some things to clear up, and hopefully next time we can pass this round, Gabriela Stoeva stated.

- They were playing together, and they were fighting like one. When we do mistakes, we separate from each other. We do not talk, and we do not support each other, and then mistakes are coming. We need to work more on that, Stefani Stoeva said.
