Even better: Come to Basel and watch it live

For those travelling to Basel you will be familiar with the arena from its long term association with the Swiss Open SS and Grand Prix Gold. The St. Jakobshalle is situated in south-eastern sector of the city and is readily accessible by public transport with tram and bus stops directly outside the arena. Go to the arenas website to find full and complete directions if you arriving by Plane, train or automobile: www.stjakobshalle.ch

There will be extensive merchandise available from the official equipment sponsor Yonex at the event so if you’re in the market for some top quality kit make sure you avail of their special tournament discounts throughout the week.

Where to buy tickets

Basel is readily accessible not only from Switzerland but France, Germany and beyond. Basel Mulhouse airport serves the city and its proximity to France and Germany is borne out by its unique three exits to each country at arrivals. Make sure you take the Swiss door if you’re travelling. Tickets are available for the entire event are available online at www.ticketcorner.ch. At this late stage you can still order online and pick up at the main door on arrival so come on there are no excuses!

Remember you will need some Swiss Francs if you plan spending your hard earned cash and the city is awash with ATM’s (which I am told offer a better exchange rate) so there is no need to worry if you forgot to stop at the Bureau de change on your way.

Official Players Party

Finally the much talked about player’s party is on Thursday 13th February at 9pm and all players, officials and friends of the event are asked to attend. Entry is by official tournament accreditation and will be held at Musik Park A2. The doors are open from 21.00 CET (18.00 CET for U15 players).

We look forward to seeing you all in Basel and if you cannot be there make sure you tune in online, on TV and on social media for all the thrills and spills from the 2014 edition of the European Men’s and Women’s Team Championship.
