Today was semi-final day at the Yonex-Sunrise India Open 2019. While first seeded pair Kim Astrup/Anders Skaarup Rasmussen (Denmark) unfortunately went down, Axelsen keeps going up.

So far, Axelsen won every match in straight games. In fact, he has not even gotten close to a game loss during this tournament. The semi-final was not any different. India’s sweetheart Kashyap Parupalli was no match for Axelsen as the 21-11 21-17 shows.

In the final Axelsen will face India’s last hope for this tournament and former number one: Srikanth Kidambi. It will be a real challenge but Axelsen is all up for it.

- Really happy to be in the final here at India Open. Excited to get back on court tomorrow, as Axelsen stated on social media.
