Swedish Junior & Swedish U-17 International
Uppsala, Sweden 25 - 27 January 2019

25-27th of January 2019 are the dates for Swedish Junior & Swedish U-17 International. The two tournaments will be played in Uppsala, Sweden.

Tournament Manager Mia Thorsélius: “More than 300 players from 23 countries including 20 players from the Chinese Badminton federation makes our junior tournaments very strong this year.

New for this year is that we are broadcasting LIVE from all 10 courts throughout the tournament and people from all over the world can follow the matches live”.

Swedish Junior will be played at Fyrishov, one of the best arenas in Uppsala.

Swedish U17 International will be played at Upplands Boservice Arena, the 18 court badminton hall which is home arena for one of the strongest clubs in Sweden, Fyrisfjädern Badminton Club, and for Badminton Sweden’s national training centre EuroCenter.

Mia continues: “Our long-term goal is to build one of the best and strongest junior tournaments in Europe. We are very happy that we have entries from 3 continents and that we have 20 Chinese players coming to Uppsala to compete.

We have a reserve list in every category in U17 and in two of the categories in the U19 age group, which shows that tournament is popular.

We are happy and excited about it and look forward to greeting all the players and officials to Uppsala and Sweden.”

The tournament starts on Friday 25th of January at 09.00 am for U17 and at 11.00 am for Swedish Junior 2019.
