Only three days to go for the European mixed teams qualifications! Thirty countries are divided over seven groups. Only the top countries of each group will join Denmark at the Finals in February.

France, Slovakia, Estonia and the Faroe Islands will compete in group 4 for that final spot. France is definitely the favorite to claim this spot. Especially since they play on home soil in Aire sur la lys.

That does not mean the other teams are planning on giving up the top spot. For example, Martina Repiska from Slovakia wants to play her best game to bring as many points as possible!

- Team events are always a little bit special as we are fighting all together for the victory! There is always a good atmosphere in our small team.

Big challenge

- The best possible outcome would be ending up on the second place in the group. Our goal is to beat Faroe Islands and the expectations against Estonia are high.

- We are definitely the underdogs against France but we are looking forward to play against one of the top teams in Europe

- It is a big challenge that we are facing, and it will be a hard work for all of us to achieve this result. But I think it is possible if we all perform at 100%

Improvement

Finally, Repiska hopes the EMTC will be a gain for her own game.

- There are going to be a lot of tough matches in which I will hopefully be able to see some improvements in my game and in which I could evaluate the things I´ve been working on lately during practice.

With possible opponents like Kristin Kuuba (Estonia) - who also performed well last year - and youngsters like Yaelle Hoyaux (France), Repiska most probably gets the matches she hopes for!
