On Tuesday, Beatriz Corrales was playing the first round of the DANISA Denmark Open. After three close games, the Spanish player lost against Akane Yamaguchi from Japan.
Thereby, Corrales dominated the first game and won 21-18. But the currently second world ranked in women’s singles and seeded number two, Akane Yamaguchi, decided the last two games with 21-15 and 21-16 for herself.
Corrales stays positive
Corrales reflects the match positively:
- Of course, I am not happy to have lost the match. But I think my performance has been quite good. So, I have to take the positive things from this match to be better in the future.
The match lasted 51 minutes in total. For the future, Corrales intends to improve her game style:
- The most important for me, is to be relaxed. When I can do that, then I am able to fight against the best players such as Akane.
