On the quarter final day of the Singapore Open Isabel Herttrich and Carla Nelte (Germany) kept the European honour high. In straight games they beat the NG Tsz Yau and Yuen Sin Ying (Hong Kong).

Herttrich and Nelte kept the initiative the whole match and were never in great trouble. They convincingly won the first game  with 21-15.

The second game seemed to be heading like a repeat of the first game. At a score of 17-12 in advantage of Herrtrich and Nelte, the German pair seemed to lost some focus.

The Hong Kong pair made some points in a row and came very close to the Germans. They even got a game point in the second games. Luckily Herttrich and Nelte restored their game and eventually won the second game and match with 23-21.
