Mark Lamsfuss (Germany) is on a roll. Together with Isabel Herttrich, he is currently 19th on the mixed doubles world ranking after winning Swiss Open and the bronze medal at the European Championships.
But Lamsfuss is not just a good mixed doubles players. He also makes a great run in men’s doubles with Marvin Emil Seidel on his side. Their most recent win is the Orleans masters prior to the European Championships. His men’s doubles ranking is a somewhat lower than his mixed doubles ranking, but still one to be proud of: A solid 27th place.
However, this is not enough for Lamsfuss main goal for the coming years:
- I am aiming to qualify for the Olympics! With our current ranking in mixed we would be qualified. But I will try to qualify in both disciplines!

So when you have a sufficient ranking to qualify for now, it is more than a matter of sustaining this level: It is also a matter of improving more the coming years.
- I always have high goals and I want to be top 10 in the world in the next few years.
Being in the top 10 also means being a serious medal candidate for the Olympics. And that is exactly what Lamsfuss wants.
I am dreaming of winning a medal at the world championships and Olympics! Winning a medal at the olympics 2020 will be difficult but nothing is impossible!
